HONOR OUR CHOIRS ON MUSIC SUNDAY

HELP WANTED:  A person who reads music.  We need at least one bell ringer (high school or older) who can come every week to rehearsals with performance in church about once a month.  See Carolyn Blake for further information.

Ringing Bell

The Bellaires welcome new ringers and are looking ahead to the Area II Bell Festival in Philadelphia in the summer. (note:  location has been changed to Scranton).

Much gratitude to David Clark who faithfully plays the piano (volunteers) for our 8:30 service.  What a great gift to the church.

LIFT YOUR VOICE - AND BOOST YOUR MOOD

Raising your voice in song can improve your spirits, found a recent study from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, in Frankfurt, Germany. People who sang for an hour in a choir felt happy, relaxed and satisfied. "Singing and well - being go hand in hand," says study co-author Sonja Rohrmann, Ph.D., a professor of psychology. That's because singing increases your production of secretory immunoglobulin A, a protein associated with happiness and relaxation. Its presence also bodes well for your immunity. So next time you're down in the dumps, sing out: You don't have to sound like Faith Hill to feel like a million bucks.
